Cinematic Opening

All hell has broken loose. Earth has taken a direct hit from a massive solar flare knocking
out 90% of the electrical grids around the world. Most, if not all, electronics have been
permanently fried by the gamma wave that sweep over the planets surface.

All radio, television, cell phones and even the internet have been knocked out
... and may never work again.

You're on your own to survive the chaos of the aftermath.

Background
Staying cooped up in your parents house was no longer an option. In the middle of the night, you slipped away and now on your own. But you don't mind and are enjoying your new freedom.

Things don't seem nearly as bad as your parents had made it out to be. But you haven't been able to hookup with your friend as planned just a few days earlier. Someone tells you that she was taken by a dangerous gang and you should leave the area as soon as possible.

Although distraught, you grab your gear and head out of town not knowing where you're going or what to do. But going back is not in the cards.

Anywhere you look, homes and businesses are burnt out. Graffetti and big trash piles are everywhere, and even a dead body. Gross!
